Matt, Stacey, and Ben Uhrig

Wednesday night Tara and Ben made home made pasta! For those of you who are not aware, our sitter Tara (of almost 2 years) who has made our lives so much easier and allows me to work 3 days / week is moving in with us in May. In addition to Tara moving in - she is bringing with her a pasta maker!

So - this week Tara and Ben made pasta (twice!)! I love to cook but have never attempted fresh homemeade Pasta. Not only did she make it look easy and fun - but it tasted great! Ben had a great time!


PS - she brought a waffle maker too! Banana Walnut Waffles anyone?!?!

Since Ben was young, he has had an intense attraction to all things buddha. If he sees a statue of a buddha - he gets very sentimental and will talk to it and many times hug it! We have a number of books on buddhism in the house. Specifically a book called Meditation in Action. On a number of occassions, Ben has brought this book to me and has asked me to read it to him. Note, there are no pictures - just lots o' words! This Saturday morning was no exception....

YYup - the art work is Ben's! Whenever a friend comes over if they do a project - we've been adding it to the wall. The frames are actually cabinets that hold up to 50 pieces of art...from Lil Da Vince Frames. Super cool concept!

The tree is up! (OK, I admit I actually put it up the day before Thanksgiving because we were having a big dinner party that night and there was snow on the ground). We have broken down and put up an artifical tree. In our old home, we always kept the tree outside because we didn't have room in our house for it. It was always nice, on the deck with lights. The other benefit was that our cats didn't eat the needles and get sick. Now that we have room for one, we decided to go artifical. We actually received this one from one of our new neighbors. Can you believe that?!? That's christmas spirit!
